CSU East Bay – Braddock Center Plaza, Hayward, CA
One of our current projects is the design of a new campus plaza adjacent to the recently completed Applied Sciences Building. Conceived as an outdoor learning “lab,” the amenities include several intimate gathering spaces for class instruction, small solar shade tables, the relocation of a 9/11 memorial tree to a small contemplative mini-plaza, and collaboration with the architect on a large overhead PV panel structure. We are also excited to be working with the University’s Green Biome Institute to develop and source a planting palette of extremely rare and endangered native plants, some of which the Institute is currently working to DNA sequence and genomically profile.
