Project Type: Refurbishment of 1928 Community Center and Pool Complex
Project included landscape design for the newly-renovated Ole Hanson Beach Club, originally built in 1928 by the founder of San Clemente. As a historic focal point for the town, the Beach Club is used for recreation activities as well as weddings and special events. The plant material selections included succulents and other drought-tolerant materials used in the 1930’s, and the new irrigation system was designed to incorporate reclaimed water.
These plantings were also used by Alluvial in the award-winning 2.4 mile Railroad Corridor Beach Trail and the 1 mile long North El Camino Real Bike Trail, both of which are adjacent to the Ole Hanson Beach Club.
